Register All the courses for adults offered by SKOLA in Exeter and London can also be provided at Bawdsey Manor on a full-board residential basis. Such courses are tailor-made to meet the requirements of groups of trainees or managers from the same company or organisation with the objective of improving their English communication skills for professional development. Courses can also be provided on a one-to-one basis. Bawdsey Manor, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, is also a site of special scientific interest and well known as the premises where radar was first used operationally for defence purposes. It is located on the north Sea coast, at the mouth of the river Deben, opposite Felixstowe Ferry. Facilities include various sports such as watersports, tennis, badminton, squash and, nearby, there are excellent professional golf courses and an equestrian centre. SKOLA offers all support services, such as airport transfers and excursions to places of interest in East Anglia.

One to One Executive Courses

Studying at Bawdsey on a one-to-one basis ensures maximum benefit in minimum time. Class time is spent covering the areas specified by the participant – whether this be general language improvement or specific work on the English needed in international business at whatever level and of whatever subject - such as marketing, international trade, financial markets. Peaceful surroundings and on-site accommodation leave participants totally free to concentrate on their studies. Our on-site sports and other facilities also offer a chance for relaxation and time to talk and exchange ideas with professional people from around the world.

Business World Plus Golf Programme

20 hours (4 hours every morning) of one-to-one language tuition with course content designed by the Director of Studies in conjunction with the participant followed by: Afternoon golf sessions on one of the local golf courses (unlimited time) including hire of equipment and transport to and from the course. Participants may opt for professional coaching (at extra cost). Participants may also opt for professional coaching and equipment hire in water sports, tennis, squash and other sports which are available on site (at extra cost).

  • Course Fees Include: Full board accommodation in single or shared rooms, (where 2 people enrol and travel together), tuition programme of 15 hours of one to one classes, use of on-site facilities.

One to One Intensive Executive Courses

  • Minimum Enrolment: 1 week Levels: Elementary and above. Available from September 2007 to June 2008
  • Course Fees Include: Full board accommodation in single or shared rooms, (where 2 people enrol and travel together), tuition programme of 25 hours of one to one classes, use of on-site facilities.

Business World & Golf Programme

  • Minimum Enrolment: 1 week Levels: Elementary and above. Available from September 2007 to June 2008
  • Course Fees Include: Full board accommodation in single or shared rooms, (where 2 people enrol and travel together), tuition programme of 20 hours of one to one classes (mornings) and 5 afternoon golf sessions at one of the local golf courses, hire of equipment and local transport, airport transfers (Sunday arrival at Heathrow or Stansted, Saturday departure Heathrow or Stansted), two evening activities, use of on-site facilities. Participants staying for two weeks will also have one full day local excursion on the Saturday.
