2.1 IB Middle Years Programme & Diploma
Girls Studying
The secondary school follows the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 – 15 & the Diploma programme. Students begin at the MYP then progress onto the two year IB Diploma programme before going on to University and a career.
MYP & Diploma courses include English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Spanish, Art and Design, Drama, Music, Humanities and Personal and Social Education. All students are given netbooks. There is an established programme of educational, cultural and environmental visits tied in with the curricula. Overseas and UK trips, including two visits to our country campus in Suffolk for outdoor and environmental studies, are
offered.
2.2 IB MYP Preparation
Class Studying
The IB Preparation course for 11-17 year olds prepares students for entry to the full curriculum. Dedicated preparation classes allow students to move gradually into their year group. Students develop academic and everyday English, and are
encouraged to use their newly acquired language in and out of the classroom. All students are given netbooks. Students study
grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing.
In addition, they also study the language of academic subjects such as Humanities, Science, Mathematics, Arts and Physical Education. Total tuition time is 25 hours per week. Minimum stay is a half-term.
2.3 Student Support
Two Friends
Students with special educational needs are supported by a team of professionals with expertise in educational and child developmental psychology. This team includes teachers, therapists and specialist co-teachers. An individualised learning plan is developed by our multi-disciplinary team

A good way to learn English and to make friends of other countries. My younger boy has learnt lot of vocabulary and is very happy of the content. To learn English is very interesting. According to my 2 oldest sons the pedagogic content is not so interesting as the idiomatic one – the language.
