Girls Studying
The Secondary School follows the Middle Years Programme (MYP) from the international Baccalaureate (IB). The students then switch to IGCSE exams taken at 16. Courses are in English Language, Mathematics, Science and computing with optional courses available in French, Spanish, Art & Design, Drama, Music, Humanities (History and Geography) and English Literature. Further subjects are available on request. There is an established programme of educational, cultural and environmental visits tied in with the curricula, to destinations overseas and within the UK, including 2 weeks at our country campus at Bawdsey for field study work.

Class Studying
The School Foundation course for 11-17 year olds prepares students for entry to the full curriculum. Dedicated sheltered Foundation classes allow students to move gradually into their year group. Students develop academic and everyday English, and are encouraged to use their newly acquired language in and out of the classroom. Students study grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition, they also study the language of academic subjects such as Humanities, Science, Mathematics, Arts and Physical Education. Total tuition time is 26 hours per week. Minimum stay is 6 weeks.

Two Friends
Our summer school operates during the months of June, July and August. The main focus of this programme is for students to improve their English through fun activities. As well as General English, learners have opportunities to develop English through other disciplines like Art, Drama, Science, Maths and Geography. These are linked together by weekly projects such as water, space or nature and the Discover London academic excursion to museums, galleries and famous historical sites. An afternoon of sport is also included where students practise hand-eye co-ordination and undertake aerobic exercise, as well as sports such as football, basketball, volleyball and badminton. Minimum stay is 2 weeks. 25 hour programme (including academic excursion and English through sports).
An adult learning experience with the welfare of a junior programme. The Sixteen to Eighteen Programme (STEP) is a unique summer course preparing learners for further study, the workplace and adult life. The course includes IELTS preparation, Academic and Study Skills and Task Based Project classes, a weekly excursion and a sports programme. The course provides the independence and responsibility offered by adult programmes with the structure and support of a junior programme. Please contact our admissions team for an example timetable. 25 hour programme (including academic excursion and English through sports).

In addition, children will have their lunch at the school Monday to Friday. Shared room prices are only available for two students enrolling and travelling together. Class on Excursion
24-hour emergency telephone numbers are issued to students and their parents. A member of staff can be contacted at any time should students encounter any problem or difficulty. Medical support is always available. We maintain very close supervision of students at all times, to ensure their safety and well-being and that they derive the maximum benefit from their course. Students are inducted on their first morning as to the school rules and are expected to follow them during the school day. Students are also offered additional activities one day a week after school and on Saturdays. These non-academic activities are a chance to relax, have fun and practise English with friends and staff. Students pay transport and entrance (approximately £10 for an evening activity and £30 for a Saturday excursion).
