WORKING HOURS
2 ‘shifts’ per day (1 ‘shift’ = morning, afternoon or evening activity), plus night duties.
WORKING DAYS
6 days per week
LOCATION
Skola Ascot. LVS Ascot, London Road, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 8DR
SALARY
Dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary scales available upon request.
APPRAISAL
Short term staff appraised through lesson observation, informal means etc.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
To ensure smooth running of office and administration of residential programme at Skola Ascot.
CONTEXT
This job is located at Skola, Ascot, where the postholder will work closely with the management team and marketing department to ensure the smooth running of the course. In addition, the postholder will assist with activities, when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all students in the residence
- Ensure the smooth running of all in house activities, including wake-up and bedtime
- Liaise with school management and heads of house to ensure that students are welcomed and inducted to the school appropriately
- Know way round the school building, including the location of the first aid box and fire exits, and ensure that students are familiar with fire regulations
- Ensure adequate signage of office area
- Prepare lists of new and leaving students for management team on a weekly basis
- Liaise with Skola Marketing, Director of Junior ELT, Management Team, Group Leaders etc. to ensure smooth running of the office
- Arrange office in a way which helps it to function smoothly
- Deal with day to day management of the reception
- Keep student’s generic and financial information up to date on the Student Database
- Liaise with account department for enrolment, re-enrolment, payment and debt management
- Liaise with Directors of Studies for student feedback to guardians or agents
- Participate in staff meetings, training days, parents evenings and school functions according to the published schedule
- Provide cover as and when required by line manager
- Maintain school and class administration
- Offer all clients equal opportunities and maintain an environment in which no one is exposed to discriminatory behaviour
- Observe the school’s routines and procedures and act in accordance with the Teacher’s Handbook and notices or announcements made by school management
- Deal with client enquires, over the telephone in emails and face-to-face in an invitational manner
- Conduct school tours for clients and keep informed of curricular activities on a termly/weekly/daily basis
