Candidates are shortlisted based on the fit between their skills and experience in relation to the job description.

REFERENCE CHECK

Line Manager/ Director of Recruitment follows up references given on application form. All references must be in writing and elicited from referee.

CANDIDATES INVITED FOR INTERVIEW

FIRST INTERVIEW

Will be carried out by two ICS team members, including a member of the senior team. During the interview, candidates will be asked to talk about:

  • Work history
  • Qualifications
  • Motivations
  • Specialist knowledge and experience
  • Child protection
  • Non-academic skills and interests
  • Health
  • Questions that they have in regard to the school/role

Candidates must bring original documentation (Photo ID, Qualifications) to interview.

SHORTLISITNG FOR SECOND INTERVIEW (PERMANENT AND MANAGEMENT POSTS ONLY)

Candidates are shortlisted based on performance at first interview.

SECOND INTERVIEW

Will be carried out by one or two members of the team. During the interview, candidates will:

  • Make a presentation or teach an observed class
  • Answer any remaining questions that the team may have
  • Have an opportunity to ask any further questions

N.B. Line manager should carry out interview with another person, preferably another member of the AMT.

FINAL DECISION

After the second interview (or first interview for temporary posts), candidates will be sent offers or work or rejection letters depending on performance over the application process.
