Skola Summer Schools
Summer schools in England are popular for good reason. They provide young people with an opportunity to grow and learn about themselves, while also developing a new language and making new friends.
Attending a summer school in England allows international students to develop their language skills as well as making new friends with students from around the world broadening their life experience.
The English school Skola Culford run by Alexander International School and housed in Culford School, offers a 4-week programme that provides the ideal learning environment for students (aged 11-17) to improve their speaking, reading and writing skills in English. All classes at the summer school are restricted to 16 pupils ensuring a high level of student teacher interaction.
The summer school is also a residential programme providing full boarding facilities including all meals. Skola’s residential summer school provides a safe and supportive environment. Skola provides a great compromise between learning English in London (through frequent trips and excursions) and enjoying the glory of the English countryside during the summer.
The summer school offers excursions twice a week to attractions in London, Cambridge and Bury. Through these excursions students get a feel for British culture and UK history firsthand. Additionally, Skola offers an impressive range of sports activities, and art and music sessions alongside the English courses.
These activities help the process of getting to grips with the English language by creating opportunities for students to relax while learning, and to use the skills they have gained in the classroom in a natural social setting.
Students can choose which extracurricular activities to pair with their English lessons. They can choose from:
- Golf
- Tennis
- Swimming
- Multi-Sports
- Art
- Music and Drama
- Football
Further details of timetables, dates and fees are provided on the Skola Culford Summer School page.
