Summer Courses for Children and Teenagers

SKOLA’s Regent’s Park Summer School for children and teenagers combines learning and practising English through an integrated programme of classroom lessons, out of class activities, Discover London trips and excursions. The activities, trips and excursions are part of the learning experience with projects and tasks connecting them to the lessons while children make international friendships and have opportunities use their English in natural social interaction.

6-9 Years Programme

This full day programme is specially designed for younger children aged 6-9 years old to embrace an additional language and encourages English learning through 18 hours per week of exciting activity based lessons in classes of maximum 15 students.  Students learn English through interactive and fun activities like storytelling or team games. Classes are graded by level with activities and play breaks appropriate to the age group.

Students are assessed on their first day. All students receive a certificate and a report at the end of the course.

The course includes a weekly excursion to a place of interest in London.

10-17 Years Programme

Class of Students

This is a full day programme with English lessons in the morning and an afternoon programme of sports, art, excursions, themed parties as well as a full day Saturday trip.

Our lessons focus on communication with students fully engaged in exciting projects like preparing a play or designing their own board game. Students are also given opportunities to perform learning tasks and projects under supervision outside the school in places such as Regent’s Park or Camden Market. A high ratio of staff supervision on all outside activities means that children are always safe and secure throughout the school day.

Students are tested on their first day and placed into classes based on their level and age with maximum 15 students in a class. Students are encouraged to work with different nationalities and English is the only language spoken in class. All students receive a certificate and report at the end of the course.

Parent & Child English

The course gives an opportunity for both parents and children to study English at the same time in central London. The Regent’s Park Adult Summer School offers a choice of timetables for parents.
