SKOLA Gloucester Gate English Summer School in London for children aged 5-9, 1st July - 31st August 2024

Welcome to your summer school in London. We aim to provide students with a stimulating and safe environment to learn English and make friends by speaking English to students from other countries. We operate in July and August - please do not visit the site at other times of the year without an appointment.

Summer Courses

Start any Monday 1st July to 31st August, for as many weeks as you like (min. 1 week, Max 11 weeks).
£50 Registration fee. Visa letter (if required) £25. Choose:

6 x full-day (Monday - Saturday): £820 per week (with a parent on Saturday trip)
5 x full-day (Monday - Friday): £620 per week
5 x half-day (Monday - Friday) £420 per week

Course information

Maximum class size 16 students
Full-day courses have 1 half-day Discover London trip on a Wednesday. 6-day course includes a Saturday trip.
Half-day course from 9:00 - 12:15, Monday - Friday
All levels including beginners
15 hours per week of English lessons in class
International classes graded by age and level
All course materials included
50 minutes per week on SKOLA's Discovery course
Sports, music, art activities and parties
Hot lunch daily is included in the full-day course.
Fresh fruit is included at break times.
End of course SKOLA Certificate

Optional Extras

Adult English Courses 10 minutes walk from the school: 15lessons (£250 pw), 20 lessons (£300 pw), 30 lessons (£400 pw). £60 reg and £35 maetrials fee.

5-9-year-olds from 1st July - 31st August 2024.

At the north end of Regent's Park, near Camden is SKOLA Gloucester Gate open from 1st July to 31st August 2024. This houses our 5 to 9-year-olds for 9 weeks and has 7 classrooms, a canteen and a garden. We are opposite Regent's Park, with space for sports and has a fabulous playground.

English Summer Programme for 5 to 9-year-olds

In SKOLA Gloucester Gate students learn in dedicated classrooms for this age group from 1st July - 31st August 2024.

Each week has a theme for the lessons, the Discover London visits and Friday party. For example: THE NATURAL WORLD, with visits to the London Aquarium or the Natural History Museum.

Morning English classes develop grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking. After sports and play in the park, students develop their English through tasks leading to a final presentation on Friday. For half-day students, it is advised to add an excursion for £50 so students can go on the Wednesday excursion and £50 for the Friday afternoon for presentations and the party.

Students can go on the Saturday excursion if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Weekly Themes, Trips, Friday Presentations and Saturday Visits 2024 for 5-9 year olds

We test all students either before via Zoom, or on the first day, and place students in class according to their age and level.

Our age bands are 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-17. We have 5 levels in each band from 7 up: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate

Some classes have a capacity of 14, some have a capacity of 16 which is our max class size.

Our maximum quota from any one country is 20%. We want students to learn English and discover other cultures by making friends with people from all over the world.
