1.1 IB Primary Years Programme

Boys Studying
All children aged 3 -11years old follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. The programme allows children to learn through the skills and knowledge of traditional subject areas such as Languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, the Arts, Personal and Social Education and Information Communication Technology. These subjects are taught through Units of Inquiry that provide opportunities for students to apply skills and knowledge. Classes from Year 1 to Year 6 are actively involved in six units of inquiry per year, each one lasting around six weeks in length. Nursery and Reception experience four units of inquiry throughout the whole year.
ICS also places a strong emphasis on the ‘Outdoor Classroom’ with frequent trips within London, visits to our Outdoor Education Centre in Bawdsey, Suffolk and our overseas Travel and Learn programme.
1.2 IB PYP Preparation
Our English Language Preparation course for 10 -11 year olds prepares students for entry into the full curriculum programme. Students study grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing, and develop academic and everyday English. They also study a range of other academic subjects such as Humanities, Science and Mathematics.
* UOI = Unit of Inquiry – which is a way of learning through discovery, exploration and reflection through transdisciplinary themes.
1.3 Student Support
Students with special educational needs are supported by a team of professionals with expertise in educational and child developmental psychology. This team includes teachers, therapists and support assistants. An individualised learning plan is developed by our multi-disciplinary team to support each student. Please enquire for Student Support fee structure.

Regent's Park Summer Courses
Our summer school operates during the months of June, July and August. The main focus of this programme is for students to improve their English through fun activities. As well as General English, learners have opportunities to develop English through other disciplines like Art, Drama, Science, Maths and Geography.
These are linked together by weekly projects such as All About Me and the Discover London academic excursion to museums, galleries and famous historical sites. An afternoon of sport is also included where students practise hand-eye co-ordination and undertake aerobic exercise, such as rounders, sports and outdoor games. Minimum stay is 2 weeks. 23 hour programme (including academic excursion and English through sports). All classes are taught by specialist teachers with experience of working with 3-9 year old children.
