1.1 IB Primary Years Programme

Boys Studying
The IB Full curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Core subjects of English, mathematics, language, social studies, arts, science, personal, social and physical education are taught within project-based lessons known as ‘Units of Inquiry’. In addition a variety of after school clubs are offered, as well as drama and musical productions.
For students in years 4 and above, netbooks are provided and there are two annual trips to our country campus on the Suffolk coast where students focus on outdoor environmental projects and sports
activities. In nursery and reception, students develop early learning skills in nurturing and developmentally supportive classes.
1.2 IB PYP Preparation

Children with Masks
The IB Preparation course for 8-11 year olds preparesstudents for entry to the full curriculum. Dedicated preparation classes allow students to move gradually into their year group.
Students develop academic and everyday English and are encouraged to use their newly acquired language in and out of the classroom.
Students study grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition, they also study the language of academic subjects such as Humanities, Science, Mathematics, Arts and Physical Education. Total tuition time is 23 hours per week. Minimum stay is a half-term.

It was a bit hard for Anna to get used to the new children and a foreign language but she finally enjoyed every day she spent in ICS because of the playtime, trips to the Museums and the teachers.
I hope to repeat this again.

She really liked going to school, even though she had to get up at 9 am! She learned lots for new words and songs (and even going to the bathroom on her own), she now chats to people in the streets and ask lots of questions. At the age of 3 she managed well, thank you for keeping an eye on her.
