Boys Studying
The Primary School follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Core subjects of English, mathematics, language, social studies, arts, science, personal, social and physical education are taught within project based lessons known as ‘Units of Inquiry’. In addition a variety of after school clubs are offered, as well as drama and musical productions. For students in years 4 and above there are two annual trips to our country campus on the Suffolk coast where students focus on outdoor environmental projects and sports activities. In nursery and reception, students develop early learning skills in nurturing and developmentally supportive classes.

Children with Masks
The School Foundation course for 6-11 year olds prepares students for entry to the full curriculum. Dedicated sheltered Foundation classes allow students to move gradually into their year group. Students develop academic and everyday English, and are encouraged to use their newly acquired language in and out of the classroom. Students study grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition, they also study the language of academic subjects such as Humanities, Science, Mathematics, Arts and Physical Education. Total tuition time is 26 hours per week. Minimum stay is a half-term.

School starts each day Monday to Friday at 9.00am and ends at 3.20pm. If booked, the school minibus service will bring children to school and take them home again. After School Clubs take place from 3.30pm – 4.30pm 3 days a week for an extra charge. Parents collect their children from school after these activities. Children are encouraged to bring healthy snacks to school. Homework is set for children and regular reports and student/parent/teacher conferences take place throughout the year. Children wear a practical uniform to school each day. An extensive Travel and Learn programme is offered to all children wishing to join in exciting world adventures.

Flying a Kite
Our summer school operates during the months of June, July and August. The main focus of this programme is for students to improve their English through fun activities. As well as General English, learners have opportunities to develop English through other disciplines like Art, Drama, Science, Maths and Geography. These are linked together by weekly projects such as water, space or nature and the Discover London academic excursions to museums, galleries and famous historical sites. An afternoon of sport is also included where students practise hand-eye co-ordination and undertake aerobic exercise, as well as sports such as football, basketball, volleyball and badminton. Minimum stay is 2 weeks. The 25 hour programme includes academic excursions and English through sports. All classes are taught by specialist teachers with experience of working with 3-11 year old children.

Accommodation for 3-10 year olds can be arranged in a home stay if a parent accompanies the child. It is arranged through an accommodation agency. Home stays are carefully selected and regularly inspected. Home stay providers will assist with students’ laundry. Accommodation fees are for 7 nights, with a minimum 2 week booking. Fees are for a shared room with breakfast and dinner daily. In addition, children will have their lunch at the school Monday to Friday. We can arrange airport transfers from all London airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and City for up to 3 people travelling to or from one London address per taxi. We need flight details 2 weeks before arrival at the latest.

Walking Home
24-hour emergency telephone numbers are issued to students and their parents. A member of staff can be contacted at any time should students encounter any problem or difficulty. Medical support is always available. We maintain very close supervision of students at all times to ensure their safety and well-being and that they derive the maximum benefit from their course. Students are inducted on their first morning to the school rules and are expected to follow them during the school day.

She really liked going to school, even though she had to get up at 9 am! She learned lots for new words and songs (and even going to the bathroom on her own), she now chats to people in the streets and ask lots of questions. At the age of 3 she managed well, thank you for keeping an eye on her.
