Learn English through Abstract Art

Our students leart about abstract art in this fun English lesson. They then tried it out for themselves. As you can see Leon, our Head of Sports in the yellow shirt, had the most fun.

Each week our students get an opportunity to learn about a different artist. In this lesson the learnt about the life and work of Jackson Pollock, a leading abstract expressionist from America working in the 1950s.

The students then made their own art, exploring concepts like chance and randomness. Get some straws and string, a few primary colours and thick card, and see where your hand takes you.
